Global Atlas of Allergy

In 2013 European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) published the “Global Atlas on Asthma”. The “Global Atlas of Asthma” has been written by an international group of 80 opinion leaders in asthma and represents an essential reference source for multi-sectoral usage.
It was prefaced by the World Health Organisation and received a very positive feedback from professional organisations from all over the World. The printed copy was distributed at the EAACI-WAO Allergy and Asthma Congress in Milan and worldwide.

Following the success of the “Global Atlas of Asthma” and in recognition that allergy is a global public health concern of pandemic proportions the EAACI called on all worldwide leaders to develop a “Global Atlas of Allergy”. The EAACI “Global Atlas of Allergy” contains 139 chapters written by 183 authors with 274 illustrations and 100 tables. It covers all aspects of allergic diseases from allergens, epidemiology, risk factors and molecular and cellular mechanisms to their management, major current problems in allergies and associated diseases, prevention and control of allergic diseases. In addition, the Atlas offers an educational tool and a desktop reference for medical students, allied health workers, primary care physicians, medical industry, policy makers, patient organizations and specialists dealing with allergies and co-morbid diseases.

On behalf of the EAACI we are glad to offer open access to all the members of your society to both the “Global Atlas of Allergy” and the “Global Atlas on Asthma” at http://www.eaaci.org/resources/global-atlas-of-allergy.html and http://www.eaaci.org/resources/global-atlas-of-allergy.html. It will also possible for your National Society to translate both atlases, should you wish so. Please contact us, if your Society has any intention to translate them to your local language.
